My work is an exploration of color, movement, and depth. It represents instantiations of the sublime and explores interplays with layers of painted wax to hide but yet reveal subtle movements of form.

Each painting unfolds to tell its own story of things seen beyond first glance. Suggestive strokes are painted to reveal just a hint of the subject that lies beneath the surface.

The driving force behind my technique lies in color exploration and applying layers of paint mixed with wax, which adds depth and texture. This enables me to create paintings which are like dance — one stroke leads to the next with rhythm and motion to achieve a balance or tension between colors and layers.

The result often suggests a scene in the natural world — koi swimming, fireflies flickering or waves crashing. Sometimes they stand as a manifestation of a dreamlike journey — capturing a specific moment in time or an abstraction or fragmentation of the supernatural.

In either case, the image does not declare, it suggests, seduces and beckons the viewer to create their own interpretations.
