Ronald McDonald House Charities — Melissa Mahoney painting donation

The RMHC mission is to be there for sick kids and their families, providing comfort and support when and where they need it most. RMHC is an entire neighborhood of support, including supporting families with their brick-and-mortar House programs.

Volunteering

I volunteer at the RMHC on Sand Hill Road, Menlo Park, California. It accommodates 123 families a night. I’m a ‘Team Support Member’ and twice a month help support the staff at RMHC. It’s rewarding to work alongside the staff and to know that I am helping support the families that stay at the house while their children are in the care of the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.

Painting Donation

As an abstract painter and artist, I find joy in donating my artwork to organizations and non-profits that are doing amazing work. I’m honored to have donated this red, yellow and white (Pacific Ocean inspired painting) to RMHC. The painting colors serendipitously are similar to the brand colors of McDonald’s, the namesake of the organization. The painting hangs in the Taube Family Center lobby, in the RMHC home on Sand Hill road, across from the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
